At Dressed To The Canines Academy, I offer personalised one-to-one dog grooming training designed around each individual student’s goals, experience and learning style. From single-day mentoring sessions to fully immersive 30-day salon training programmes, every course is tailored to help you learn safely, confidently, to a high professional standard and offer every student a fast track route to independence in their pet grooming career

Teaching in a calm, private environment — rather than large group classes — allows me to give every student my full attention, creating a far more supportive, hands-on and personal learning experience. My passion is not just teaching grooming techniques, but helping students truly understand dog handling, welfare, safety and salon confidence, giving you the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the real world of grooming.
My Story
From a young age, animals have always been at the centre of my life. Growing up surrounded by dogs and horses, I honestly wouldn’t know life without them. They taught me patience, empathy, responsibility and the importance of building trust — values that still shape everything I do today.
My journey into dog grooming began unexpectedly when my mum’s best friend offered to teach me the art of grooming. What started as an opportunity quickly became a passion and ultimately a career. She generously shared her knowledge, experience and wisdom with me, giving me the foundations not only to become a groomer, but to truly understand dogs, coat care, handling and the importance of animal welfare.
From there, I went on to build successful grooming businesses internationally, first in Australia, then creating a luxury grooming brand in Ibiza, before bringing my experience and vision back to Northampton with Dressed To The Canines, UK. Every step of the journey has been built through hard work, dedication and a genuine love for animals and the industry.
Over the years, I’ve developed a grooming style and salon environment focused on calm, one-to-one care, high standards and creating positive experiences for every dog that walks through the door. But one of the most rewarding parts of my career has become passing on that knowledge to others.
Today, alongside offering luxury grooming services, I also train and mentor the next generation of groomers through hands-on salon experience and real-world education.
